Organize Your Studio in 2011

Organize Your Studio in 2011

Happy New Year!

We hope your studio is off to a great new start for 2011! Now is the perfect time to review how you’re doing in your business, and your goals for the coming year. If you use Studio Helper to manage your studio, you know how helpful it is to have your business contacts, schedules, and finances organized all in one place. If you’ve been with us for over a year, you also have the benefit of a full year’s worth of financial data, making it easy to run financial reports to help with taxes.

If you haven’t been tracking your income, expenses, attendance, or other information completely in 2010, I encourage you to make it a goal for 2011 to keep accurate records. Not only will it save you time when tax season approaches, but it will make it easier to gauge your studio’s growth and  help you see where you can improve. There’s also a great peace of mind that comes with an organized and automated studio.

Here are the features and bug fixes we completed last month. If you have any suggestions for how we can make Studio Helper even better, please let us know. We do have several great new features in the works.

New Features

  • You can now Print the Calendar in Day view as well as Week view. Event borders are also color-coordinated.
  • There is now an End Date option on the Student Schedules report.
  • Recurring Invoice profiles now show the number of clients that invoice will send to, if it’s for more than one client.
  • When sending a mass e-mail message, if there were any addresses that couldn’t be sent to, they are now indicated.
  • E-mails sent from your studio now are addressed as being from the studio name rather than the studio admin name.

Bug Fixes

  • Recurring Invoices created duplicate invoices for some studios. This is now fixed. Please also check your Recurring Invoice List to make sure you don’t have any clients listed twice.
  • Former teachers no longer appear in the list when creating an event.
  • Cancelled studios can now reactivate their account by submitting a payment.
  • The “Pay Now” link was sometimes not appearing on the invoices when it should. This is now fixed.
  • The “Success” message after submitting the remote registration form no longer disappears.
